Bill Church founded Green Mountain Antibodies in 1995 after moving to Vermont for a research faculty position in Biochemistry at the University of Vermont. A native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Bill received a B.S. in Biochemistry from Oklahoma State University and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Kansas Medical Center. He did post-doctoral work in Molecular Immunology at the Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, California studying histocompatibility antigens and a Fellowship in Hematology Research at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota using antibodies to control blood coagulation and fibrinolysis reactions. Bill continues to use monoclonal antibodies as probes of protein structure. He is a founder of Coagimmune, which designs and develops monoclonal antibodies to infectious diseases.
